We see accessibility as part of how we treat people. We've put real effort into making this site comfortable to use for as many people as possible, including people with disabilities, and we keep improving it.
01 Level of accessibility
The site was built to comply with the Israeli Standard IS 5568 and the WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines, as required under Israel's Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities regulations (accessibility adjustments for services).
02 What we did to make the site accessible
- Full keyboard navigation, with a clear focus indicator on every element.
- Clear heading structure and labels for screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver).
- Alt text on every image.
- Colour contrast that meets the standard's requirements.
- Full support for Hebrew and right-to-left reading.
- An accessibility preferences menu (see below).
03 The accessibility preferences menu
The site has a permanent accessibility button in the bottom corner, which also opens with Alt+A. Through it you can enlarge text, change contrast, highlight links and headings, widen line spacing, stop animations and more. Your preferences are saved in your browser.
Worth being clear about: this menu is a personalization tool. It does not automatically "fix" the site, and the site's underlying accessibility is built into the code itself.
04 Known limitations
We've tried to make everything accessible, but some parts may still not be perfect, for example third-party content (the registration form, PDF files). We fix every issue we find, and we'd be glad to hear about anything that doesn't work for you.
